Dubai, the most cosmopolitan city in the entire UAE, is a major tourist attraction and possesses many famous landmarks that are extremely popular where tourism is concerned. Apart from these famous skyscrapers for example the Burj Khalifa [translation: Khalifa Tower] 20 billion dollar property investment, shopping is also a main tourist attraction in Dubai and so are the malls – The Dubai Mall [a development by Emaar] being the world’s largest mall based on it’s total area, there are approximately 1,200 stores within the mall. Shopping/malls in Dubai consist of many retail and franchise shops from different countries as well as local shops – products are reasonably priced in their given field and they are also authentic. Other popular shopping outlets/malls in Dubai include Mall of The Emirates, Deira City Centre [one of the first malls in the city], Ibn Batuta [a themed mall, based on the adventures of Ibn Batuta] amongst a few others.
On the other side of tourism in Dubai, we have the famous man-made built landmarks that have made Dubai a renowned debonair city – Burj Al Arab [translation: Tower of the Arabs] is the fourth tallest tower in the world and is also one of the most luxurious and expensive hotels in the world. Another famous landmark in Dubai is the Burj Khalifa, which is the tallest man-made structure in the world, standing at an approximate of 2,700ft, it is definitely a location where most tourists go and take photos, because it is that extraordinary and impressive. The Burj Al Arab and the Burj Khalifa are both globally ranked and known as outstanding man-made structures of the world, and are well-identified by many people. Another breath-taking landmark in the city is the Palm Jumeirah, which also features the Atlantis hotel – originally in the Bahamas. The Palm Jumeirah is literally a palm-shaped development with luxury villas and apartments that are built on islands upon the ocean; they are linked directly with the Persian Gulf and are second homes to many celebrities, such as famous Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan. The Atlantis hotel is a five-star hotel that provides it’s guests with incredible luxury and comfort – many tourists enjoy staying here because it provides a divine experience of what Dubai has to offer. Within the hotel is the famous ‘Aquaventure Park, an enthralling water-park where guests and non-guests of the hotel can go and enjoy the joy of what a water-park has to offer; there is also dolphin interaction and swimming for guests and non-guests of the hotel. Where nightlife is concerned, Cavalli Club is definitely a sight for tourists, as everything including the chandeliers is lined with Swarovski crystals.
